“He returned again and broke the New Bread which ages and generations shall not waste away!” – Ephrem the Syrian, Hymns on the Nativity (Hymn 3)
A blog about forming children to be ministers, cross-generational worship, theology of childhood, and catechesis. Also, crafts.
I am a licensed minister in the Mennonite Church USA (Virginia Mennonite Conference) and a member of Chapel Hill Mennonite Fellowship. Currently I sojourn with the Methodists as the Minister of Children at Duke Memorial United Methodist Church. I hold a Masters degree in Religion from Duke University and an MDiv from Princeton Theological Seminary. My husband and I parent our three children: Tennyson, Wyclif, and Etta Wren.
The writings on this blog are the author’s own and are not an expression of the opinions of Duke Memorial.
I’m excited to see you blogging–particularly about this topic! 🙂

Melissa, I just wanted to encourage you to continue writing honestly and openly about your family’s worship experience. Since this topic is profoundly personal to your readers, it hits a nerve. That’s a good thing! I’m so sorry that people can’t disagree without making personal attacks. Hope to read more from you soon!
